Witnesses of Grace
Last year, we didn’t know what to expect. John, His Story was a passion project—a way to share the Gospel through theater in a fresh, engaging way. But we were blown away by the turnout, the support, and most of all, the conversations that happened afterward. People told us it gave them a new way to see an old story. It made them think. It made them feel. That’s what we hoped for. That’s why we’re doing it again!
This year’s production is called Witnesses of Grace, and the name really does say it all. It’s a series of short scenes and monologues that step into the shoes of people who knew Jesus—people who followed Him, doubted Him, betrayed Him, mourned Him, and ultimately witnessed the power of His resurrection. They each have a unique story to tell, but what ties them all together is grace.
And honestly, that’s the part that hits home for me the most.
Grace has wrecked me in the best way. I’ve lived through seasons where I didn’t think I deserved another chance. I’ve carried shame and regret like they were part of who I was. But the beauty of grace is that it never stops chasing you. It finds you where you are—broken, unsure, hurting—and it doesn’t flinch. It welcomes you in and says, You’re still Mine.
When I look back at my life, I can see how God’s grace was present long before I recognized it. That’s what makes this show so special to me. These aren’t just Bible characters—they’re people. Real people. Some of them made mistakes. Some of them were outcasts. Some of them thought they were beyond saving. But Jesus met them with love and compassion. That same grace He extended to them? It’s the same grace He offers to us today.
So this year, we’re telling their stories. Stories that show grace in action. Stories that bring the pages of Scripture to life. Our hope is that you won’t just watch Witnesses of Grace—you’ll see yourself in it. That something will stir in your heart. That you’ll be reminded (or maybe realize for the first time) that grace isn’t earned. It’s given. Freely.
We hope you’ll join us.
