Living Proof of Answered Prayers
I’ve heard a few times lately Somebody Prayed by Crowder, and every time it comes on, I think about how much God has done for me and how different my life is because of Him. It’s not just the transformation itself that amazes me—it’s knowing that so many faithful prayer warriors have been behind the scenes, interceding for me along the way.
I specifically think of Jennifer Billington. She is one of the most faithful prayer warriors I’ve ever known, always interceding on behalf of so many. Mama, I truly believe that I wouldn’t be where I am today without your prayers. Thank you for never giving up, for trusting God to work even when things seemed impossible. Your unwavering faith inspires me, and I’m beyond grateful for your love and devotion—not just to me, but to the countless others you pray for daily.
Prayer warriors are like the unsung heroes of so many stories, including mine. The beauty of prayer is that we often have no way of knowing whose words God has answered in our lives, but their prayers leave an eternal mark. This blog is my way of saying thank you—to every person who has ever called out to God on my behalf. Your prayers mattered.
To everyone reading this, I want to encourage you to become a prayer warrior. There’s something deeply inspiring about watching God move mountains in response to prayers that aren’t about you. When we intercede on someone else’s behalf—praying not for personal gain but for their good—it strengthens our walk with Christ in a powerful way. God hears every prayer, and through them, He moves in ways we can’t always see or imagine.
The Bible reminds us over and over of the power of intercessory prayer. James 5:16 says, "The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective." When we lift others up in prayer, we are partnering with God in His work, standing in the gap just as Jesus does for us (Hebrews 7:25). In 1 Timothy 2:1, Paul urges us to make prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving for all people, emphasizing how vital it is to keep others in our prayers. By doing so, we align our hearts with God's will and reflect His love in action.
When we choose to pray for others, we are not only helping them; we are obeying one of the most selfless calls of the Christian life. In Galatians 6:2, we are told to, "Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." What better way to carry someone's burdens than to take them directly to God in prayer?
As I reflect on prayer’s role in my journey, I’m thrilled to share that my book, A Prodigal Journey, is officially available on Amazon and Kindle! I’m so excited to see what God does through this project. And I’m even more excited to announce that a new format is coming in 2025—stay tuned for more updates soon.
Finally, I ask for your continued prayers as I seek to grow in my relationship with God and embrace the ministry opportunities this book will open up. Just as so many prayed for me in the past, I now ask you to join me in prayer for what lies ahead. Together, let’s continue to call out to God, trusting Him to move in ways that only He can.
Thank you for being a part of this journey with me. And remember, no prayer is ever wasted.
